Based on George Takei’s childhood experiences in a Japanese internment camp during World War II, Allegiance features music and lyrics by Jay Kuo and a book by Kuo, Lorenzo Thione and Marc Acito. Takei stars alongside Tony-winner Lea Salonga, Telly Leung, Katie Rose Clarke and Michael K. Lee. The production plays the Longacre Theatre, with a Nov. 8 opening night.
